SOS Children's Villages Uzbekistan

The SOS Children’s Villages Association of Uzbekistan operates in the Republic of Uzbekistan in accordance with the 1997 agreement “On the establishment, construction, equipping and functioning of SOS children's villages and related projects in the Republic of Uzbekistan” between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and SOS Kinderdorf International (Austria) and Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 585 of 12/31/1997 “On the organization of the Association” SOS Children's Villages in Uzbekistan.

Official opening of SOS Children's Village Program in Urgench, Khorezm Region, launch of two Family and Child Support Centers in Urgench and Shavat District, and launch of the Project to improve the quality of education in pre-school and school institutions in the Khorezm Region.

Opening of the first Youth House in Tashkent, beginning of the project to improve the quality of education in one school in Tashkent, launch of the SOS Housing Program.

Expansion of the Family Strengthening and Social Orphanhood Prevention Program in Samarkand and opening of the social center for children in difficult life circumstances in SOS Children's Village in Samarkand, start of the Semi-Independent Residence Program for young people over 21 years of age.

Official opening of SOS Children's Village in Samarkand, the launch of the Family Strengthening and Social Orphanhood Prevention Program in Tashkent, and start of the project to improve the quality of education in two schools and a kindergarten in Samarkand.
