On July 31, 2024, students of Seoul National University of Social Welfare, professor of the medical department and professor of humanities, and with the support of students of the State Institute of Foreign Languages in Samarkand and students of the Samarkand State Medical Institute, held a training event. The event was attended by more than 101 children aged 12 and above, who receive various child support services from the SOS Children's Village Samarkand.
The purpose of the event was to improve the level of knowledge in the field of health care and emergency response capabilities of children in Samarkand and in Uzbekistan as a whole, through social responsibility and knowledge sharing activities. The participants were explained the difference between heat stroke and sunstroke, how to properly provide first aid for open, closed fractures and do artificial respiration to the victim.
